Cronin & Leonard provides sophisticated legal representation in a small firm setting, allowing us to serve our clients as a large law firm would – without the accompanying administrative complications and costs.

Both of the firm’s principals – Cheryl Cronin and Steve Leonard – have long and distinguished careers, beginning in the public sector and continuing with major Boston law firms – and now culminating in their practice at Cronin & Leonard.

Cronin & Leonard has deep experience with transactional work, administrative practice and litigation in a number of areas related to government regulation and permitting. Our clients include multi-national corporations, public authorities, municipalities, real estate developers, non-governmental organizations and private individuals.

The firm has particular expertise in the areas of public law, campaign finance and government ethics, environmental permitting and litigation, government relations and matters involving the development and construction of major transportation projects.

Cheryl and Steve held significant public positions relating to these practice areas, and, after leaving government, they began their work for a variety of clients needing sophisticated representation in these areas.

Cheryl and Steve are also active in civic and legal affairs, in Boston and nationally, including serving on a number of charitable boards and holding leadership positions in various bar associations.

More detailed descriptions of Cheryl and Steve’s backgrounds and of notable client representations are included with their individual biographies.
